Promise

These are Gods Works, I just write them down.

He hung three long hours upon calvary
and then bobbed His head in a nod.
He asked why His Father had forsaken Him and then gave His spirit to
God.

He took up our burdens while upon the cross,
as meaningless as it may seem.
The burdens of man and sins of the world
had centered and rested on Him.

No one believed what he'd told them,
He wasn't fit for a king.
No way could he be the true Son of God
He was only a poor Nazarene.

Son of a carpenter common to man
No one outstanding to know.
Through His loving humbleness came Godliness, in order for manhood
to
grow.

The way to salvation, in love, for the world
if only we'd go to the cross
Lifting our burdens and sorrows to Him
Preventing our spiritual loss.

Love men, be leaders, follow His word
He died for salvation of man.
Our Lord resurrected, promised return
ascended and He'll come again.
