| The Precious Gift of Life verse : Luke 1:45 He came to earth one winter night born to virgin mother and poor carpenter father in Bethlehem... He guided the wisemen to him under the moon and stars. His parents found in the temple at twelve “preaching” to the priests. He spent forty days in the dessert tempted by Satan... And a “messenger” baptizes Jesus in the river as a dove rested upon his head with his Father's glory. He traveled from land and shore "teaching" about his Father’s laws… He went from town to town healing the blind and sick.... He raised the dead and chased the demons from bodies. He went in the hills gathering his followers and disciples as he fed the multitudes… And changed the water into wine. He calmed the seas and gave us a place in Heaven with many rooms. He prayed and gave the beatitudes and healed the broken hearted. Many the priests started a rumor and plotted many unfounded “crimes” against him… He prayed and predicted his death in the garden. He shared a Last Supper and washed his disciple feet… He was betrayed for thirty pieces of silver... And brought before the “Caesar” of Rome. He admitted that he was “The King” but stood innocent of any “crime.” He was forced to wear a crown of thorns and spit upon and beaten with a whip. He was stripped and wore a red robe forced to walk to Calvary… Nailed at his hands and feet he bled from his side. He was mocked and still he never doubted his Almighty Father’s love as he forgave them… The sixth hour had come; the earth shook and the “holy” was raised. The skies intensify with God’s power and the curtain in the temple was torn in two. Many who were a witness God's miracle bowed before Jesus and wept.... “Here is this man performing many miraculous signs if we let him keep going on like this everyone will 'Believe' him.” Placed in a tomb three days l ater he arose as promised… As he laid down his life as our precious gift of life. copyright (c) Nina Car Barbieria .. |
